The 2173 is the Remote CopperLink 2173 Extender, and can be used paired with a 2173/E-SKD Local Extender, or to replace a Remote Extender from a 2173-2PK Copperlink 2173 Series Extender Kit.The CopperLink™ 2173 Series is Patton's fastest Ethernet Extender and leverages existing twisted-pair copper cable infrastructure to deliver high-speed Ethernet extension. Providing up to 70/70Mbps symetmetrical or 100Mbps/70Mbps asymmetrical data rate speeds, the 2173 Extender is the perfect solution for delivering tripleplay communications services and other bandwidth-intensive applications. CopperLink™ Ethernet Extenders easily inter-connect remote devices or remote networks to a central LAN for such applications as medical imaging, video-conferencing, Ethernet bridging, Triple Play, and VoIP.
