The MCS-FT is an optional rackmount Fan Tray for use with the Xtramus MCS-2160 10 Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter Chassis. Installed under the MCS-2160, it provides extra ventilation to the chassis. Recommend when 10GbE Converter Modules are in use.
The MCS-FT has an array of 10 fan units, and can be powered by either directly from the host MCS-2160 via connection to the 'External Fan' connectors, or powered directly from a DC power source. This is a 19" rackmount unit, and is installed under the MCS-2160 chassis, complementing the ventilation provided by the internal Fan Module in the MCS-2160.The web-based management functions of the host MCS-2160 Chassis provide status indicators for individual fan elements in the MCS-FT Fan Tray.
The MCS-FT is recommended for use when the MCS-2160 chassis has 10 Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter Modules installed.
