Description

The M8MT is an 8 Port 100Base-FX fibre Network Port Module with MT-RJ connectors, designed for installation in any of three Port Bays on an MS888G2 Series switch. The Port Module is field upgradable, or can be supplied pre-installed in an MS888G2.

The M8MT Network Port Module has 8x 100Base-FX switched ports with MT-RJ type connectors, each capable of supporting multimode fibre optic cable at up to 2 kilometres range.

The module can be supplied pre-installed in any MS888G2 Series switch. Up to three M8MT modules can be installed in any of the three available front panel mounted Network Port Module Bays in an MS888G2 Chassis.

The M8MT, in common with all MS888G2 Series copper, multimode fibre, singlemode fibre, or WDM Network Port Modules, is a 'hot swappable' device - easy to upgrade in the field with no system downtime. Any mix of Network Port Modules can be installed in an MS888G2 Series switch to achieve up to 24x fibre or copper ports per switch, and ensuring high levels of flexibility and scalability.
